I have certainly been honored to be friends with many raccoons over the years. I have especially fond memories of Nell. Every year she would introduce her babies to us and one year in particular she had 7 of them following her around. I called them the 'seven dwarfs'.

Nell was especially fond of cooling off in her large tub of water. She would sit there every evening and just relax. I love the way her pudgy back side would hang over the edge!

She would come to the back door, she knew how to  open it to let us know that she was hungry. There have been other raccoon friends but none of them quite like our Nell.

OK, I think this would make some kind of a record. . . for what I don't know. Funny and a mystery. . . . 

Every morning Mom makes pancakes for Dad and today he had raspberries from our garden to go with them. When he was finished we looked and there was raspberry juice spatters all over the place. I mean ALL OVER. . . 3-4 feet away! The table top, across the table from him where it spattered on the opposite chair and hit the chair seat AND the floor behind it! There were also spots BEHIND him on the floor 4 feet away. . . . it was worse than a baby in a high chair! LOLOL I mean, things happen but how could he manage this one? All he said was that they were 'juicy'. . . . . go figure. . . .
